Leader of the National Program at INTA since 1989, Livore earned his PhD from Texas A&M University in Genetics in 1988 and a Master of Science in Plant Breeding in 1985 after graduating from the Faculty of Agronomy of the University of Buenos Aires as a Phytotecnichal Agronomist Engineer.
Dr. Livore coordinated the rice breeding program in Entre Rios, Argentina for many years and in 2005, patented a new mutation of the AHAS gene and released a new herbicide resistant long grain variety with high yield and great quality, PUITA INTA CL. Currently, Dr. Livore’s latest released variety, GURI INTA CL, is the most popular CL variety planted in South and Central America.
