Leader of the National Program at INTA since 1989, Livore earned his PhD from Texas A&M University in Genetics in 1988 and a Master of Science in Plant Breeding in 1985 after graduating from the Faculty of Agronomy of the University of Buenos Aires as a Phytotecnichal Agronomist Engineer.

Dr. Livore coordinated the rice breeding program in Entre Rios, Argentina for many years and in 2005, patented a new mutation of the AHAS gene and released a new herbicide resistant long grain variety with high yield and great quality, PUITA INTA CL.
