Technical Consultant of Brazilian Rice, ABIARROZ and industries, Cláudia Militz da Costa is Chemical Engineering by the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM), has PhD and Master degree in Food Science and Technology, respectively from the Federal University of Pelotas (UFPEL) and UFSM. She also holds MBA in Business Management with Emphasis in Agribusiness by UFPEL / Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV) and MBA in Marketing by FGV.
Cláudia has extensive experience in the food and agribusiness industries, with several products launched in the market (formulation, process and packaging).
With a technical profile aimed at implementing projects, her knowledge of product characteristics, ingredients and processes allied to the understanding of consumer trends and behavior have been important and useful in the areas of Research, Development and Quality of processed foods, grains and seeds.
Cláudia also works in the planning, elaboration and execution of industrial projects, budgets, management of interdisciplinary teams, regulatory affairs, ISO 9001 and 17025, development of suppliers and customers, including final customer service. She also counts with didactic experience as a teacher at universities and has been a guest speaker at many events.
In 2016, among other activities, Cláudia was Executive Secretary and Speaker of the 6th Brazilian Rice Quality Symposium (6º SBQA – an important event of rice productive chain, occurred in Pelotas – RS) and Junior Postdoctoral Researcher at UFPEL, by CNPq, focusing on rice research.
