Dr. Mo Way is a Professor of Entomology for Texas A&M University. For the past 31 years he has worked at the Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center at Beaumont developing and implementing Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs for insects attacking rice and soybeans. Recently, he has added sugarcane/energycane and grain sorghum to his crop responsibilities.
Mo has received numerous awards including The Rice Industry Award in 2004, The Texas Rice Research Foundation Award in 2005, The Conservation Systems Rice Researcher of 2006, The Texas Plant Protection Academic Award in 2008 and The Distinguished Rice Research and Education Team Award in 2014. Mo has conducted research/extension/consulting activities outside the US in Mexico, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Brazil, Australia, Malaysia and North Korea.
Mo is married to Jeanie—they have 3 children and 7 grandchildren
